Tool Maintenance

We aim to minimise die costs without compromising the efficiency of the die by incorporating unit die design onto common bolsters wherever possible.

One of the many benefits of Zinc Diecasting is that due to the relatively low casting temperature we are able to offer a lifetime tool guarantee for tools made by Jones and Wilkinson. By using the correct die materials and ensuring the design is sound, there is minimal tool erosion and wear.

All tool maintenance is carried out in house and dies are cleaned on a regular basis in
our ultrasonic cleaning bath.

The runner system is also key to the final quality of the casting, in particular when powder coat or polished finishes are required.

The experience we have to hand in the design of sprue runners and feeds, engineers out many requirements for clipping tools.

Our engineers have been trained on the importance of correct die design to make the best of the benefits of Zinc Diecast ensuring the customer receives top quality parts.

Die refurbish

We are happy to refurbish existing dies, applying modern metal flow theory to eliminate casting problems.

Maintenance

We have a Ultrasonic Die cleaner
so we can accommodate in house routine maintenance at no extra cost.
